Edmonton game developer named Entrepreneur of the Year.

Making games is big business and winning big recognition for BioWare.

EDMONTON, Alberta, Canada – September 26th, 2001 – BioWare Corp., a Canadian game developer, accepted another business award last night in Calgary, Alberta. Dr. Ray Muzyka, and Dr. Greg Zeschuk, Joint CEOs of BioWare, accepted the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year award in the Software and Information Services category – prairie region.

"Winning this award was really quite unexpected", said Dr. Muzyka. "We can easily attribute our good fortune and this recognition to the hard work and dedication of the staff at BioWare. They’re great people, and I’m proud of them."

This is the fourth time this year that BioWare has been recognized by the business community:

Ranked 15^th - Venture Magazine’s Fastest Growing Companies in Alberta
Ranked 27^th – Deloitte & Touche’s Technology Fast50 (Canada)

Additionally, BioWare is a Finalist in the upcoming ASTech Awards, recognizing leadership in Alberta science and technology.
