BioWare^TM Delivers Hit Titles On PC And Console

Neverwinter Nights^TM: Shadows of Undrentide^TM and Star Wars®: Knights of the Old Republic^TM storm up the charts in back-to-back months

EDMONTON, Alberta, Canada - August 25, 2003 – BioWare Corp. has achieved a sales and development milestone rarely passed by an independent computer or console video game developer: Top 5 monthly sales in back-to-back months for independent titles on both PC and console platforms. Released June 18, the Atari-published Neverwinter Nights: Shadows of Undrentide was the 4th highest selling PC title in June.¹ The LucasArts published Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic set a record as the fastest-selling Xbox title of all time² following its July 16th debut, becoming the top-selling Xbox title, and 2nd highest overall (all formats) title in July.¹

In addition to outstanding sales performance, both titles have enjoyed overwhelmingly positive critical acclaim. Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic in particular has been a critical phenomenon, with a review score average of 94.6% as of August 25, 2003, making it the 18th highest-rated game of all time, the 2nd highest-rated title ever on Xbox, and the highest-rated RPG of all time, all formats.³
