100 Nights of Neverwinter Continues

More Neverwinter Nights Community leaders recognized

EDMONTON, Alberta, Canada - September 27th, 2002 - BioWare Corp. today revealed the identity of the next four members of the Neverwinter Nights community who have, through their achievements, demonstrated their leadership ability within the Neverwinter Nights fan community. Over a one-week period, Atari, BioWare, Creative, Intel, Nvidia, and XFX are recognizing and rewarding these leaders on the official Neverwinter Nights community site.

The community leaders for September 27th 2002 are:

Rizzen - http://www.neverwinterconnections.com
Rizzen is the sole programmer and CEO among an outstanding staff of very hard working people, who collectively run the elaborate matching service Neverwinter Connections. He, and a group of like-minded friends, took it upon themselves to create a fantastic fan-created service for the Neverwinter Nights universe, one that helps people find other people to play with and DM. The folks at NW Connections created an enormously successful matching service that not only helps to bring out the spirit of table-top pen and paper gaming, but also helps players and DMs sort through the thousands of gamers to find the people to suit their gaming needs at any given time.

Rizzen has stated that the purpose of the site is two-fold. First to bring players together in solid communities based on personal playing styles, and secondly to find and schedule games. The folks at NW Connections also knew that they would have to have a review system in place to further help people sort through the staggering amount of information. Based on their success, they've obviously succeeded. BioWare is very pleased to be working with NW Connections and we look forward to developing further ties with this landmark service for the good of the NWN community as a whole. For the Herculean effort over the past months, Rizzen will receive a very funky Intel 2.2 GHZ computer complete with a GeForce 4 video card, and more specs that are too numerous to mention - check out the full details on the system here: http://nwn.bioware.com/news/100nights_intel.html

Syrsuro - Neverwinter Nights Forum Moderator
The sure, steady hand of the infinitely patient Syrsuro has been an enormous asset to the Live Team and BioWare as whole for his work with the community. The amount of time and effort he has put into helping us sort through the thousands of questions and concerns in his time as forum Moderator is amazing. Syrsuro will receive this very cool Creative Audigy/Inspire surround sound system - the full details on this impressive audio package can be found here: http://nwn.bioware.com/news/100nights_creative.html

Torias - Neverwinter Night Forum Moderator
With nearly 10,000 posts, Torias is probably the only BioWare moderator that frightens us with the amount of time he has spent on the forums looking after the NWN community. It was a natural choice to ask Torias if he wished to become a moderator, as it seemed he was pretty much doing the job of all the rest of us combined. We wish to extend a sincere thank you from BioWare for all the help. Torias will receive this great collection of games from Atari - the full details on this game collection can be found here: http://nwn.bioware.com/news/100nights_atari.html

LdyShayna - A founding Neverwinter Nights community member.
LdyShayna is one of the most enthusiastic and supportive community members, a veteran poster whose presence has been a positive influence since the pre-launch days. Founder of the Ladies of Neverwinter, LdyShayna has always taken the extra step to welcome and help everyone on the boards. She is a representative of the original group of dedicated fans. These fans remain the foundation of the present community and recognize, along with us, that LdyShayna is definitely better than a movie. Ever. LdyShayna will receive this cool GeForce4 Ti 4200 from XFX. Full details on this kick ass video board here: http://nwn.bioware.com/news/100nights_xfx.html powered by Nvidia.

Selecting these leaders was quite the challenge, as there are so many incredibly talented and creative people within this very special community of Neverwinter Nights fans. It's our privilege to be able to work with them, in the community, every single day. These people are leaders in their own right, be it as conduits to the Neverwinter Nights Community, as resources for other fans, as calm and understanding community moderators, as technical experts in a particular area, or simply as very friendly supporters of everything Neverwinter. These people are the cream of the Neverwinter Nights Community.
