2004 Early Achievement Award - Richard Iwaniuk

BioWare's Richard Iwaniuk was recently awarded the 2004 Early Achievement Award by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Alberta. The award recognizes chartered accountants who have qualified within the last 10 years and demonstrate commitment and excellence in community or volunteer services. The commendation also accounts (no pun intended) for chartered accountants who demonstrate excellence or accomplishment in their career or the field of accounting in general.

Richard is BioWare's Director of Finance and Information Systems. He oversees the company's financial accounting process and system administration. He also helps development team leads understand business, finance, and legal issues as a member of the company's strategic planning group.

The award recognizes Richard's outstanding commitment to community and volunteer services. Much of Richard's volunteer service has focused on supporting youth in the Edmonton area, including volunteer work as a coach of amateur hockey and soccer players over the last 20 years. In that time, Richard has also supported hockey officials throughout Alberta, acting as a long-serving executive member of the North Zone Referee Council. In addition, Richard has done extensive volunteer work in the environmental field, ensuring that future generations can enjoy the world we live in.

So, from everyone at BioWare, a big congratulations to Richard, our hard-working, yet lovable accountant.
