By Erik Einsiedel
Ray Muzyka likes to bet big. In the largest private poker room in the U.S., the co-founder and Joint-CEO of BioWare claimed victory at the Celebrity Poker Tournament hosted by the 2006 D.I.C.E. Summit. Produced by the Academy of Interactive Arts & Sciences, the annual D.I.C.E. Summit brings together some of the top creative minds in the games and entertainment industry, including fellow poker player Mike Morhaime, President and Co-Founder of Blizzard Entertainment.
At the final table, Ray squared off against Mike, in addition to well-known World Series of Poker professionals, Scott Fischman and Perry Friedman. After an intense finale lasting 45 minutes (with the entire tournament lasting over 7 hours) and ending at 4am, Ray finally proved himself the top card shark, beating out 80 total tournament players, including more than 6 WSOP pros, as well as Mike who placed 2nd overall. Congratulations to both Ray and Mike on their tremendous performance!
