BioWare Writing Contest Winners By Jay Watamaniuk
Update: April 19, 2006. This contest was about quality writing and we wanted to make sure we gave a nod to those who, by quirk of fate, scored so painfully close to the winning entries that to deny them public bragging rights would be a crime against humanity. So, in the spirit of giving kudos where sacks of kudos are due, we list two additional modules: Honorable Mentions: Each will be given a prize package and will be featured in upcoming spotlights interviews on the winning authors. Congratulations to both the authors! We want to thank Kevin for the time he took to answer your questions when we first announced this contest, and for the many hours of review work to check out far more than the selected top ten modules. I shudder to think how many modules he personally reviewed in the end in his quest to find the next BioWare writer. We never expected the huge response we received from you and the media and I want to thank everyone for making this a very important event for us. Special thanks go out to Maximus over at NeverwinterVault for his hard work and commitment to both Neverwinter Nights and to this community. Now on to the top ten:The top five modules as selected by our panel of judges. These modules were hand selected after every single module submitted to the contest was reviewed from the 313 submissions.
The top five as voted on by the community (excluding any modules already selected for the top five by our judges). These rankings are based solely on module final rankings according to NWVault at the time the contest closed:
Stay tuned: In an upcoming BioWare Wednesday, we start a series on the talented writers behind the winning modules and learn their dark, dark secrets! Related Links |
