Firestarter by Adam Miller Interview by Jay Watamaniuk Go to (Previous - Introduction, Myranni's Magic, Walking with a Ghost, A Hero's Death, Firestarter, The Realm Below, A Moonless Night, Aspects, The Badger, the Cat and the Book, Grains of Truth, Find the Fish!, Ghosts of the Past, To Hell and Back - Next ) Where can we grab your module? There are two versions available on the vault: the original version and the deluxe version. The deluxe version has full voice acting for all the parts, in addition to some minor bug fixes and enhancements. Fans who are new to the community might not realize you have created a great deal of popular modules in the last few years. If I liked Firestarter, what other modules of yours would you recommend?
How did Firestarter come to be?Firestarter is a quest from an upcoming NWN2 campaign. It was actually my second project, the first ending up with far too many words and not enough player choice. Firestarter was an attempt to go in the opposite direction, with much of the writing in item descriptions, journal entries, and "flavor text", while giving the player a huge amount of freedom and lots of options to resolve the situation. Are you planning on taking a peek at NWN2 when it comes out?More than that. I'll be releasing the Dark Waters campaign, a high seas adventure with pirates, psionics, and exotic island getaways. I'm doing my best to push the limits with flintlocks, ship-to-ship combat, and a new and improved version of the Demon Cards game. Everything is being prototyped using the good old NWN toolset, which continues to amaze me with its flexibility after so many years. With luck, the nearly two years of pre-planning should let me release the modules relatively quickly after NWN2 hits the shelves.
